Hello!
I’m Alex. I have an insatiable appetite for adventure and the mountains. Whether it’s climbing Munros in winter, running ridges in the warmer months or setting out on a wild camping expedition, I am happiest in the high places.
Based in Bristol, I regularly travel to the mountainous regions of the UK and beyond. I am a qualified mountain leader, president of the London Mountaineering Club, a keen skyrunner, avid hillwalker and aspiring alpinist. Born in Cumbria, I call the fells of the Lake District home, though I am at least equally happy in North Wales, the Highlands and the Alps.
I’ve worked hard to make this passion my livelihood. I write high quality features, firsthand route guides and buying advice for a range of platforms and brands, as well as creating engaging social media content. I have ambitions to put my mountain leader qualification to use and introduce people to the places I love. I'm also working towards the winter mountain leader qualification.
